Letting go of fear…letting go of personality

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Holy Spirit: I’ve spoken to you about the desirelessness of surrender. Now I would like to talk about fearlessness. Desire, other than the desire to know My word, can block the guidance I have to give. Fear also can block guidance. Or it can prevent you from moving forward with what I have asked you to do.

Fear is a complex emotion because it comes from many judgments within the mind and it can be experienced in many ways. Fear may not seem like fear because it may be experienced as something else, such as anger, criticism or hatred. The ongoing commenter within the mind is a manifestation of fear.

The problem with fear is that nothing specific can be pin-pointed and fixed by you doing something in form or by you doing something differently. Fear is zero code, so fear must be recognized as nothing.

You seem to have difficulty recognizing fear as nothing because you believe the personality that fears is something in itself. But the personality is also nothing. It is zero code.

In letting go of fear, you let go of the personality. And in letting go of the personality, you let go of fear.

Seeing the connection between fear and the personality is helpful, because in any given moment you will find yourself willing to let go of one or the other. When you are too afraid to let go of fear, you will be able to find willingness to let go of personality. And when you are tempted to cling to personality, you will have willingness to let go of fear. To move in either direction is to move in both, so to move in either direction is helpful.

What is most helpful to you always is to remember what you want…to remember your desire to Know thy Self. Then take whatever step you can take in that moment. Let go wherever you can let go. Every letting go is a step in the right direction, and the ‘right direction’ is the direction you truly want to go.

Question: Can you give me an example of how letting go of personality helps me when I am afraid to let go of fear?

Answer: Yes. It is willingness that comes to your rescue. When you are afraid to let go of fear, the Son of God within you knows you are clinging to the personality. Since it is your desire to let go of fear, you will notice the willingness to let go of personality. Willingness to let go of personality, which is a willingness you can grasp in the moment, will lead you to let go of fear by practicing rest, accept and trust as I have taught you to practice.

Question: And when I am consciously clinging to the personality? For example, how does willingness to let go of fear help me let go of a value the personality holds dear?

Answer: First, you must remember that fear doesn’t always feel like fear. It may feel like anger when a personal value is being challenged. You may not have conscious willingness to let go of your value, but you may have willingness to rest and let go of anger. This is letting go of fear and it is letting go of clinging to the personality that holds the value dear.

Question: Is there anything else that you would share with me in this moment?

Answer: Yes. I wanted to talk to you about surrender. In order to surrender, you must be willing to let go of fear. When the fear seems strong, remember your desire to let go of personality. It is this desire, which is the desire to Know thy Self, that shall lead you to walk through fear.

“Mists” of worry

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

Question: Holy Spirit, you’ve given us great tools lately that are very much appreciated. Yet we seem to have worry thoughts that still stick to us…the seemingly ‘little fears’ that never go away. I realize these ‘mists of worry’ must have a greater grip on us that we may acknowledge. Please talk to us about low-level ongoing anxiety.

Answer: These fears are ongoing and low-level because they are built into the personality. Fears that are built into the experience, or event-based fears, can seem bigger and more traumatic, but they come and go based on events. Fears that are built into the personality are codes that are more foundational to overall experience. This personality attracts these event-based fears based on built-in personality fears.

It’s important to remember that the personality isn’t true. It isn’t you. You need to be able to look at the personality and its fears without being identified with them. Your role is to undo the false ideas by seeing them as false, and you can’t do this as long as you are identified with them as true.

Try this: Step back from the personality by not calling it “me” or “I”. Call it “the personality” within your mind. Then write down the fears that the personality has. Realize that these fears are built into this character, but you are not the character. This stepping back will allow you to detach a little from your fears, because they are truly only your fears as long as you believe the personality is you.

As you look at the personality’s fears, notice when you feel the grip of believing they are yours. This grip may feel stronger than low-level as you look directly at them recognizing they are not you. This is because you are looking now at the fear of letting go of self.

Breathe into that fear; rest into it. As you look at this fear you see the hold the low-level fears have on you. They are like glue or binding fears, which keep you attached to the personality. They are the fears you love to fear, because they keep you from knowing your Self. As you look at them now with the idea of letting go of them in your mind, you see it isn’t the little fears that terrify you, but it is not fearing them that scares you the most.

Once you realize this, you understand the purpose of your “mists of worry”. Once you notice their purpose, they cannot have the same hold on you. For each time that they come up into the mind now, you can see them for what they are. They are key elements of the filter that keep you from knowing who you are.

When you see these recurring personality fears in your mind, recognize what they are. Call them by their name. Say to yourself, “There’s that piece of filter designed to teach me that I am what I am not.”

Each time you identify the fear for what it is, you loosen a bit more from your desire to hold onto it. That’s because each time you choose to say this statement, you choose to acknowledge what you truly want more. You choose to tell the mind that “knowing thy Self is desired and not knowing thy Self is dying as a desire that lived in me.”

“Victim” is a carefully crafted experience

Question
: Laurent is leaving today. Is there anything you would share with us now? He is most interested in learning to let go of the experience of being pulled down by others.

Answer
: Being pulled down by others…being affected by their moods, their energy fields or their observable actions…is only a choice in perception. More than that, it is only a perception, which always follows your choice.

You cannot have the experience of victim without first choosing to be victim. There is no exception to this fact. You are the powerful Son of God and every experience that you have must follow your choice. It may be helpful to see why you choose this experience. When you see why and see that the reasons do not serve your purpose, you may be more willing to let go of your choice.

Victim is an experience, but it isn’t just another experience as some experiences may seem to be. Victim is a carefully crafted experience to teach you that you are what you are not. It is the prime fruit of forgetfulness. It is the anesthesia for guilt. It is a way out of knowing who you are while you still feel that who you are has done something for which you are guilty.

Not choosing to be victim is choosing to remember, but not choosing to be victim is not attacking the root. To get to the root, you must look at your judgment. This is the cause of all guilt, and it is guilt that spawns the anesthesia of victim.

Notice when you catch the energy of another or seem affected by what they say or do. Notice the judgments in your own mind. In this moment you are experiencing the code, believing it and following the pattern of this belief. This is a time to stop and recognize clearly what you are doing. If you look with honesty you will see what you need to see. You are not victim. You are judging and choosing, and your experience comes directly from you.

Again, this observation is not a time for judging as guilty, as the ego will tell you that you are. This observation is an opportunity for freedom, for as you realize that you are free as you are always free, you can choose to see differently. In this choice, do all things follow. Through this choice, do you learn that you are truly free.

Question: Thank you. Is there anything else that you would share with us now?

Answer: You can expect to hear ego, but this does not mean that you need to listen. It is time to will for in patience the realization of the master that you are.

Take the lessons I have given you and make them one with your soul through will for. Be alert for distractions such as doubt, resistance and fear, then put your heart back into the lead. With the heart in the lead and with no sense of hurry, digest all I have taught you to teach. More help will be given, but do not wait for more. Take what you have now, remember who you are now, and practice all with the fullness of your heart’s desire. Do not let distraction pull you away. This is your job now. Practicing these messages with the wholeness of your being will lead you directly to where you need to go.

Zero code is zero code

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Holy Spirit: Zero code is zero code. There is nothing ‘other’ to learn. There is only this. I give you many ways to see this fact, and I will continue to be helpful in this way. I shall not leave you comfortless ever. I shall always be in your mind guiding and comforting you for as long as you desire the thought of Me. For I am the manifestation of your desire to Know thy Self. But I have nothing to teach you that you do not already know. There is nothing I can give that you do not already have.

The simple way is the way of realizing that all ideas are in the mind. The easiest way is the way of realizing that all experiences come from you, which also includes the experience of Me. And the best way is to remember truly what you want, then choose all of your ideas from the place of this knowing. When an idea comes into the mind as a thought or into experience as a feeling or manifestation of an idea, look carefully at what you are believing. Remember that all things are ideas. No two things can be different. There is never an exception to the cause. Then ask yourself:

Does this idea support my purpose of awakening to myself as I truly am?”

As you ask this question, remember that you are designing your own experience. Remember again the experience you want…the experience of knowing yourself as you are…and make all decisions from the place of that remembrance.

It is true that you accept zero code without realizing that you are believing the false as true. You have forgotten yourself, and you see ideas of illusion through this veil of forgetfulness. This would be an experience that would forever keep you lost within the experience of not knowing yourself, if it were not for one fact. And that fact is Me. That fact is the part of your mind that has never chosen to forget itself. It is the remembrance of that part of your mind…that is what I am. I am the remembrance of God, because I am a flash of manifestation from the purity of your realization that is God. I am the Voice of your inability to forget that which is always true. I am your remembrance of you.

As that part of you, I am always with you. I cannot leave you and I cannot be lost. I am but an idea, but I am an idea that comes from truth. When I speak, I speak of only what is true. In this way, I shall always be helpful to you.

As you awaken to the remembrance of the truth of what you are, lean on Me as your guide. Ask anything of Me and I shall step forward to help. I will answer your questions and guide your actions. I will give to you everything that you surrender to Me. My purpose is pure, as it can only be one. When you give all to Me, you give all in purity to the awakening of yourself.

There are distractions in your environment now, but do not slip into believing you are victim of these. Those sights and sounds and feelings that call your attention from Me are only manifestations of the thought that you are what you are not. Remember that you are what you are, and keep your mind with Me.

Question: I was totally distracted by events in the outside environment, and now I am feeling guilty for reacting to these events. What will you share with me?

Holy Spirit: Guilt is zero code. Guilt is the offspring of judgment, which is choosing to see yourself as wrong for choosing to be the experience you choose to be. You can never be wrong for choosing an experience. You can never be wrong for anything you choose to be. But each experience brings with it the expression of ideas, and it is these ideas that I ask you to look at with Me.

As I began, zero code is zero code. The fact that you chose to believe it does not make it true. This is your release and your freedom. By choosing to see again, you choose to choose now what you did not remember to choose before.

I have given you many tools, and I will continue for as long as you choose to not quite know who you are. But in the moment that you choose to know, all will be given for review and in what may only seem to be a flash, you will choose to know only the truth as true. In that moment of total decision, you shall awaken. One cannot sleep when the non-true no longer has influence over you.

The greatest error that you make in the purpose of awakening to yourself is the error of judging you for the experiences you choose. And remember…to judge another is to judge yourself.

When you judge, you teach yourself that you are wrong. This is to separate yourself from some idea and to say that you are not it. In this decision, you choose not to know thy Self.

The way to remembrance is the way of acceptance without judgment…experience without pain… and pain experienced through the quiet restfulness of non-judgment. Let all things flow through you like wind through the leaves of a tree. Nothing can change what you are. Judgment is merely the chosen denial of truth.

As you practice non-judgment in all circumstances…in the face of all experience…you will notice many effects. Let each one ride over you. Remain focused on the idea of ‘the code’. Recall that all things are light. Remember your desire to know only you. Be patient, and in trust call on Me. Make this your only reaction to all things false, and you practice the practice of awakening in all things that you experience.
