Uncovering the treasure through the jewels within

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Question: We are seeing clearly the belief that we can be wrong or bad, or even that we can be evil. And we are happy to see how this hidden belief drives our choices. We know this awareness is important to our freedom. What would you share with us now to help move us to the next step of awareness?

Answer: I am going to answer in the same way I have been answering. That’s because this is important. Continue to will for awareness. There is so much more to be aware of, and the part of the mind that is resistant will tire quickly of awareness. It will want you to tire quickly also, but you must remain aware of your true desire and let it lead your choices. Let true desire lead you to love awareness.

Teach yourself that you are an interesting mind…an interesting creation…and be willing to marvel at the discoveries you uncover as you become increasingly aware. Be willing to take it slow, savoring the journey of discovery, and you will not miss any of the jewels you have hidden along the way. Each jewel found leads closer to the treasure. And of course, the treasure is you discovered as an open treasure chest shining brightly for all to see and enjoy.

Any image that you can hold to in the mind that keeps you focused on the positive…on the uphill…in the direction of the light is helpful. As I have told you, you will move in the direction that you are focused. This focus is necessary, even as you uncover that which is considered dark. It is all about motive, as we have discussed before. It is motive that drives the power of light, and it is the power of light that brings to you the experience of your own motive.

If you look at darkness in the mind from a place of fear…from a place of belief in what you find…the experience of finding may be difficult. But if you look more carefully, even as you experience the difficult experience of uncovering in fear, you will find there is a truer motive that is leading you. You are continuing this journey of discovery because you know you are the treasure that you seek. Do not let your eyes stop short of this knowing. Do not be fooled that you are that which you find hidden and clothed as dark. Know that each darkened jewel is a jewel, and see each one as such. Let it lead you closer and closer to that which you are, and keep your mind focused on where you are going.

Question: I am noticing as I am writing this that there is a fear I can mess up. I’m afraid that I’ll look in the wrong direction and lead myself there. Or that I will at least lead myself on a long and useless detour when there was a more direct route.

Answer: Whenever you notice a fear in your mind that can be labeled as doubt in yourself, stop and look directly at that doubt. This is a time to pause the thinking mind and notice the story that is being told. The story is this:

You are a failure. You will never be any better than you are now. You are a loser…a failure…and you shall always be that.

It’s ok to look at this story and feel the hatred that is thrust upon the self. Pause here. Look at what you see. You are looking directly at the judgment you have placed upon yourself. Stay with it, watching. Notice its echo in your mind. Rest, accept and trust. Trust that as you sit within this feeling, a clearer knowing…a truer and gentler voice is rising up to greet you.

When you wait in patience for another way to see, another way to see is given. Another way must come when you trust another way to arrive. And this in itself is proof that you are not failure. For where you have looked, you have gone. What you have trusted has become manifest. What you have wanted has been given.

In this you find the jewel…the jewel that was hidden in the dark. Pick it up and put it in the pocket of your heart. Each time you place a jewel in the pocket of your heart, your recognition of your truth grows stronger. As the recognition of your truth grows stronger, you step one step closer to the treasure that you are.

In each jewel lies the entire treasure. In keeping each jewel do you say to yourself, “I am what I am, and I accept what I am as true.”

The cyclone of love

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Question: Through your guidance we are beginning to become more aware of motives. We have seen that each idea is the offspring of its motive and it carries hidden within it the motive that it comes from. We realize that when we accept an idea as true, we also take in its motive. Our question now is this: What is most helpful for us in our practice today?

Answer: You already know My first answer to this question. Continue to will for awareness without judgment, to feel grateful for awareness when you see it and to continue to have gratitude for your remembrance to will for. I also want you to focus your eyes on yourself through another lens of awareness, and I want you to feel gratitude for what you see there. I want you to notice the clarity the two of you are coming to together through your relationship and your conversations. Notice what you are creating, because it is creation. You have spoken of the cyclone of fear and hate, and this is the cyclone you first became aware of together. But now the two of you are coming together to create another force…an opposite spinning…and this is the cyclone of love. I am giving you help, but you are taking what I have given and creating through it. Do not let your eyes not see this. For in seeing what you create…in recognizing it as creation…you extend that creation further into the mind.

Remember that all things are ideas. No two things can be different. And each idea comes from a motive or source. As you look at the ideas that are created through the two of you, do you see also their source? And when you see the source, do you see what you are creating together? Take time to be grateful for this, for this is not a little thing. Much more is happening than may appear to be happening on the surface. Continue in your devotion together…

Note from Regina: I lost the stream of thought because of my resistance to the word “devotion.”

Question: Holy Spirit, I put my personal resistance aside now and ask that you continue, please.

Answer: Do not hide your eyes from what you are seeing now. You are mourning the loss of something that you love. Let yourself feel this sadness. It may seem intense at times, but to feel it is to accept your decision. You are letting the personality go.

As the sadness passes, refocus your eyes on the light…the light that the two of you create together. See your Self in this light and realize you are only reaching for you. As I have said before, keep your eyes focused on where you want to go. Through the natural magnetic pull of the heart, you will follow the focused gaze of your eyes.

Question: What else would you share with us now?

Answer: You are learning the difference between thinking and knowing. I would like you to will for seeing subtleties here. As you come to know what you know, you will trust more your knowing. Through this, your thinking will become more useless, and you will lay your desire to think aside.

Thinking carries with it the motive of its source. When you are thinking, notice the source of your thoughts. Buried deep below the surface of anything that you think about, there is fear. And it is the fear that you can be wrong.

This does not mean that you are wrong for your thinking. It only means that your thinking cannot be your primary concern. Let your thinking think as you stand by and watch. As you watch, wait patiently for your knowing. When it comes, listen only to it.

Question: Laurent asked a question. I’m not sure his question has been answered.

Answer: Laurent is reaching clarity, and he is still afraid to trust his own clarity. Let his wanting be focused on trust, that he may see more easily what he already knows. Tell him to feel for clarity and for confusion, and you do the same. When you feel confusion within your thought, do not stop. Trust that clarity is on the way. Move through the confusion looking at each thought, but also let each thought pass by. When you see clarity, you will know it. You know that you will. You have become skilled at recognizing confusion, resistance and clarity, and you see the path that they take. First there is confusion and a gasping for air…then resistance that tries to hold you back…followed by a breakthrough in clarity. You’ve seen this enough times to trust in confusion that clarity is on the way, and to celebrate in resistance that a breakthrough is about to occur.

Question: I’m not feeling finished. Why is that?

Answer: You want an answer that I am not willing to give. But I do not give out of love and because of your willingness. I have given you tools and you have given yourself the situations. All that is in your way now is fear, or distrust. The antidote to distrust is trust and patience, and then again trust. Focus your eyes on the progress. Practice everything I give to you. Through this, everything else will follow. And it is by seeing how it comes that you will realize the truth of what you are and who you have always been.

Continue with awareness

Friday, June 5th, 2009

Holy Spirit: You are watching the mind more…watching with a different perspective…a different awareness. This is what I asked. Continue for now to will for awareness, to watch and be aware without judgment, and to be grateful for watching and being aware.

You will begin to notice resistance in the form of ‘I am done.’ It will tell you that you have watched your mind and you are finished with seeing its tricks. It will tell you that you are now ready to do something about those tricks…that you are ready to fix yourself. This thought is merely a trick in itself…a distraction, just as an illusionist uses to draw your attention away from the tricks. Do not be fooled by this slight of hand. Your role now is to continue to notice, to continue to be aware, to continue to will for awareness and to continue to have gratitude for awareness and willing for. These simple steps will lead you to awakening. It is not now more difficult than this. Do not be fooled into thinking it is.

Ask from knowing

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Question: Holy Spirit, you know our questions. What will you share with us?

Answer: Most of your questions come from fear. They come from the part of your mind that fears. This is why you have been told that your questions come from the ego. They come from the thought that you are not master. They come from the thought that you are victim.

I ask you to look at your questions again. Notice that what I say is true. Notice what you are teaching yourself when you allow yourself to ask these questions. Then remember that you are master. Put your mind back into this place of knowing. As you are realizing that you are master and you can never be victim, how will you ask your questions now?

As you ask from this place of knowing, you may realize you know the answers, for knowing does know. You do not know when you ask as victim, because you are asking from the part of your mind that has chosen not to know. When you ask from knowing, knowing will appear.

Knowing also knows there is a deeper knowing. When you ask your questions from knowing you may notice a desire to know more deeply or more fully that which you already know. That is asking as a younger brother to an older one, but asking within recognition of sameness. It is only the maturity that seems to differ, but both the asker and the one asked are the same. Both are princes born of the same Father.

Ask your questions of Me from this place and notice what you already know.
